Gynecomastia surgery cost in Korea: ₩3M–6M
Male chest reduction in Seoul typically costs ₩3–6 million (about $2,200–$4,400). Fat-only cases need liposuction; firm glandular tissue needs gland removal too. Here's how that changes the price.

Fat, gland, or both?
"Pseudo-gynecomastia" is mostly fat and responds well to liposuction alone. True gynecomastia has firm glandular tissue behind the nipple, which liposuction can't remove — it needs a small excision through the edge of the areola. Your surgeon will feel and assess the tissue at consultation; your photos help us give a preliminary estimate. See gynecomastia in Seoul and men's liposuction.
What changes the price
- Fat volume and area size. A small, firm pocket takes less time than a large area with fibrous fat.
- Combined areas. Treating two or three connected areas in one session usually costs less per area than separate surgeries — and you only recover once.
- Revision cases. Correcting previous liposuction takes more time and planning, so it is priced higher.
- Fat transfer. Grafting the removed fat to breasts, hips or face adds processing and injection time.
- Anesthesia and aftercare. Your quote should state what anesthesia is used and which aftercare sessions are included.
What a BBAE quote normally covers
- In-person consultation and body-type analysis with your surgeon
- The surgery itself, with sleep anesthesia and monitoring
- Post-op check-up before you fly home
- Your first compression garment
- Details of the post-op aftercare treatments (LED, high-frequency, endermology) that suit your case
Always ask any clinic — including us — for a written, itemised quote before you book flights. It protects you from surprise add-ons.
Budgeting the whole trip
For international patients the surgery is only part of the bill. A realistic budget for a one-to-two-area trip to Seoul includes:
- Accommodation: 5–7 nights near Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon — mid-range hotels commonly run ₩120,000–₩250,000 per night.
- Transport: airport bus or taxi from Incheon, plus short taxi rides for check-ups.
- Extra garments & supplies: a second compression garment so you can wash one.
- Travel insurance that covers elective surgery abroad, if available in your country.

Frequently asked questions
When can I go to the gym?
Light cardio usually after 2 weeks; chest workouts after about 4–6 weeks, as your surgeon advises.
Will I need a compression vest?
Yes, for several weeks. It helps the skin re-drape and controls swelling.
Is gynecomastia surgery permanent?
Removed tissue doesn't return, but steroids, some medications or large weight gain can cause new growth.
Can I combine it with abdomen and flanks?
Yes — a popular male torso combination.
